ABOUT

The 2025 spring high school baseball season will be the seventh in which Prep Baseball North Carolina is working to rank the top 25 teams in the state, regardless of classification.  Over 400 high school teams in the state - let the debate begin as to who are the best.

We'll discuss our process in determining this order, but we feel like we're publishing a thoughtful and thorough list of the state's best programs this season, thanks to the Prep Baseball North Carolina staff that spans the state. Throughout the spring, our scouting staff will be working to see games, teams, and players each day, from the mountains to the beach.

    Played really well on the road in a national tournament to open up the year. Back home this week, earned a win over No. 8 Burns. Lone loss to GA power Parkview HS, where the Rams held a lead late in the game, playing their 3rd game in 3 days.

    Split with conference foe Providence this week.  Pitching and defense leading the way, only giving up 2 runs per game while the offense has been steady.

    Schedule will begin to ramp up in the coming week. To date the best wins are against Providence Day and Christ School.  The Warriors have scored 7 or more runs in 4 of their 6 wins.

    Good start to 2025, already testing themselves several times.  Wins over Cleveland, Wake Country HomeSchool and No. 14 Corinth Holders all look good. Defense has only allowed 10 runs over 4 games, with several of those runs coming in mop up time late in games, with the game in hand.

    Showed toughness and resiliency in a walk-off win over No. 22 Covanent Day to go to 4-0. 3 shutouts and 3 wins via the run rule.  The schedule will ramp up at times throughout the year.

    Solid schedule to date with key wins over South Brunswick (2), Holly Springs, and West Carteret. South Central and JH Rose coming up over the next couple of weeks will be tests.

    Only loss to No. 1 TC Roberson on the road in a close game.  Team has depth on the mound and in the lineup. Offense has exploded for run totals of 11, 10, 26, and 20 in 4 of their 5 wins.  Lone loss the offense was held in check.

    Key wins over Heritage and CB Aycock.  In wins, the pitching staff has only allowed 2.5 runs per game.  The loss to Bunn saw the Falcons surrender 8 runs.

    Losses to Pinecrest and New Hanover. Have score 10+ runs in 3 wins. Bulldogs started a bit slow in 2024 - look for the pitching staff to develop depth in the coming weeks, making them a tough out in May.

    The lions have accpeted the challenge to date of a tough schedule. Two wins over SC schools that figure to be pretty good. Got walked-off by Grace Christian but turned around for a good win vs. High Point Christian. Schedule continues with Wesleyan Christian and Hickory Grove Christian this week.

    One of the more complete beginnings to 2025, the Wildcats have quality wins with a potent offense and a stingy pitching staff.  Through 5 games they are only giving up 2.8 runs per game.

    Tight losses to Providence and Charlotte Christian. Big wins vs. Richmond and Charlotte Stampede.  The course of the Warrior year will be their ability to manage tight games and tight situations.

    Tight losses to Wakefield and Apex could lead to better bullpen depth as the season continues. When the offense scores 3, the Caps are undeafeated.
