Lean build that produced a flat swing from the right side. An early strider, the batspeed was at least average. Exit velocity tested at 81mph. From the infield, showed an ability to catch the baseball with fluid hands while playing through most ground balls. A long arm action worked to a positional velocity of 79mph. Registered a 7.54 in his sixty.

A dual player with some length in his body touched 84 from the bump from a high-3/4 slot and loose arm swing. While erratic with command, the curveball showed a late 11/5 shape at 70-71. Offensively, the 6-foot-3, 170 pound righty, loaded slightly down, with a leg kick and average balance. At times a little pull conscious, there was extension, producing an exit velo of 83mph. On the infield, McCullough showed average hands and athleticism, with a long arm action and average carry.
