01.28.17
Fluid and easy in many phases.  Athletic and lanky at 6-foot, 180 pounds with long limbs.  Ran a 4.25 thirty.  Tall stance from the right handed hitter, with a smooth load and short stride.  Good head posture throughout.  Loose and easy as the bat works with better than average quickness.  Fluid, works gap-to-gap.  Some bat waggle through the setup and load effects some barrel awareness at times.  Exit velocity topped at 85 off the barrel.  At short, works with soft hands and fluid feet, showing above average consistency in catching the ball.  Quick, clean exchanges transition to a long, clean high-3/4 slot.  Ball has carry, touching 81 across the field with average accuracy.

01.14.17

Lanky athletic build suggests there is still a high ceiling to the 6-foot, 180 pounder.  Showed athleticism, quickness and strength throughout the day.  Caught the ball with ease, using fluid footwork and good hands.  Clean exchanges worked to a high-3/4 slot with a short arm stroke.  Arm showed carry and accuracy while topping at 85mph from shortstop.  Offensively, works easy and repeats his swing.  There  is some waggle in the load that causes some barrel awareness issues.  Good approach and level path lead to a little pull tendency in the swing.  Average to above batspeed produced an exit velocity of 90mph.  Flashed quickness running his 30 in 4.01. On the bump the righty is a bit of a short strider working from a high-3/4 slot with some quickness in the arm.  Arm swing was inconsistent, showing his infielder traits, but worked to be on time.  Lands slightly closed, fighting his hips to get through some pitches.  Fastball topped at 80 with the breaking ball flashing sharp tilt and 11/4 action.  Breaking ball showed good hand speed, ranging 63-66.  Change-up has promise, creating some arm side run with some fastball look-alike tendency while peaking at 67.
