It has been a stellar opening to the tournament for Pettinato with hard-hit contact throughout and a couple of base-hits to show for it. Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 1143-pounds with present tools and strength to project. Well-connected RH cut and creates good separation with balance in a positive move forward. Shows an extremely compact stroke and keeps a flat path through the zone. Some present bat speed with great hands in-zone and ability to adjust in-zone. Zone awareness is present with feel to match plane throughout multiple parts of the zone while working from line-to-line with ease. Positional flexibility across multiple spots and arm strength could be a carrying tool long-term. The stock for Pettinato is only going to rise with shades of a potential high-level hitter down the line.
