8/08/19

Athletic frame with quickness and strength present at 6-foot, 155 pounds.  Athletic delivery with good pace building to an extremely quick arm.  Works level through the shoulders, coiled and closed at balance.  Lands on-line with a square front foot, getting the shoulders back in-line.  Easy effort with a long, loose arm swing.  High-3/4 slot.  Fastball jumps out of the hand with life at 86-88, bumping 89.  Swing and miss in the zone and created chase when elevated.  Late slider worked with fastball hand speed at 74-77, pounding the zone.  Straight change-up has deception with the fastball-like hand speed.  In the zone with the change at 81-84.  Arm speed and athleticism suggest continued growth toward a high ceiling.

05.20.17

Rising freshman is athletic with quick twitch in the body.  Ran a 6.87 sixty and produced an arm speed of 82mph from the outfield.  Still raw in some aspects, the lanky 6-foot, 153 pounder has plenty of room to add strength on his frame.  Worked with ease and fluid feet through the ball to a short arm action with a high-¾ release.  Quick arm.  Average accuracy as the ball sailed arm side at times.  Better than average carry.  Offensively, righty works from a balanced stance, loading back and down.  A short stride works to fair balance, even with the backside lacking separation.  Level bat path with a sweepy swing.  Exit velocity topped at 81 off the tee, but when on the barrel the ball did show an ability to jump to all fields.
