Strong build with a thick lower half. A little choppy through the delivery, sitting on the backside to work to a high-¾ slot with a long arm action. Some effort as the fastball worked 76-78, locating to both sides at times. Shoulders are level, slightly closed at balance, as the body lands on-line. The curveball ranged 62-64, cast from a similar slot to the fastball with gradual 2/8 arc. The ball flashed up out of the hand when the arm speed slowed to try to locate. Potential for the pitch to tighten quickly exists. Change-up showed fade with near fastball arm speed. Front side is early on change, sitting 70 with fade. Overall command improved throughout the bullpen session, significantly upgrading on pitches 15-20 vs. 1-5.
Thick lower half and some athleticism in the body. High-3/4 slot from an arm swing that has the elbow clear the shoulder line a little. Fastball ranged 77-80, touching 82. Average extension. Curveball rolls, touching 65. Competed and enjoyed pitching in a tight game.
Mature build. High-3/4 slot working with an easy arm swing that loads the scap towards the top. Strike thrower. Early sink on fastballs to his arm side. Fastball sat 77-79. The change-up flashed average to above at 66-68, with confidence and feel. Curveball lacked some handspeed and rolled through the zone, ranging 60-62. Showed a long arm action from first base, topping at 77 across the infield. Hands were stiff at times, but he did catch the ball, and showed feel around the bag. Sixty time came in at 8.37 on a soft outfield.
