8/6/17- 6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #45 ranked player in NE 2018 class. On mound; controlled tempo, pie arm slot, high ¾ release, longer stride down mound with extension to plate. Fastball was 78-81 mph with running action to plate. Solid shape and spin on curveball with 11/5 break. 4.99 home-to-first time. Tall stance, some length to contact, avg. pop, uses whole field, line drive contact, 81 mph exit velocity. Sure hands, avg. range, comfortable around bag, solid receiver at first base, 76 mph arm strength.
6-foot-2, 155-pound long levered RHP and first baseman ran a 7.53 60 yard sprint. At the plate, slight toe tap trigger with aggressive slightly uphill swing plane. Hands stay inside the baseball and hits line drives to all parts of the field. Some stiffness in the field but hands and feet work for 1st base. 79 mph velocity across the infield. Simple repeatable mechanics on the mound. Hands break cleanly on the back side and has a tendency to flatten out on his backside leg not leveraging his height. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot with heavy 73-75 mph change up. Breaking ball showed good depth when released out front.
