Matthew Minckler: SS/OF, (2023) out of Portsmouth, NH. is a 5-foot-11, 150-pound infield prospect. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 86 MPH. Minkler begins in a tall, balanced stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He uses a controlled load and a small leg kick to trigger the swing. That swing takes a slightly uphill swing plane and produces a lot of solid contact. He used the entire field and showed good bat speed. In the infield, Minkler uses a higher ¾ arm slot to record a velocity of 82 MPH on his throws across the diamond. As he worked through the ground balls, he showed athletic feet, a fluid exchange, and soft hands. He moves well laterally and finishes the play well. Minkler also showed his athleticism in the 60 with a time of 6.93.
