2017 Future Games (August 2-5, 2017)
Cancellieri has a strong, broad shouldered athletic frame at 5-foot-11 180-pounds. Fastball sat 86-88 from a high-3/4 slot. Showcased a 12/6 breaking ball with big depth at 68-71 MPH. Up tempo delivery into a strong, athletic balance point. Uphill shoulders going down the mound help create some leverage. Strong, square landing leg and foot help him finish in-line. Explosive upper body on release over front leg creates extension. Long arm action. On first day, went 3 IP, 5K, 0 ER in win over Team New York. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.21-seconds. Offensively- starts in a neutral stance and in a slight crouch with hands above back shoulder. Uses a small foot stride to start swing, hands load back. Fluid hips and hands through the zone produces line-drive pop to all fields. Finishes on back foot with lift to swing. Exit Velocity topped at 87 MPH. Defensively- took reps at SS. Throws topped at 89 MPH across the infield, which was the highest registered velocity of any position player on Team New Jersey from the event. Effortless movements in the infield – fundamentally sound. Fields ball out in front, exchange is clean, throws from an over-the-top slot.

NJ Futures Preview (6/4/16)
Cancellieri stands 5-foot-10  180-pounds, and has a strong, athletic body for a 2019. Hitting- sits in a crouch and uses a short leg kick for a load. Hands stay relaxed and then slightly move backward into a strong loaded position, and his hands explode to the baseball. Fielding- shows above average hands in the infield. Choppy at times with feet in setting himself and throwing - throws to first in a true over the top motion. Ball has backspin and some carry. Pitching- Showed excellent FB velocity for his age at 80-82 and touched 83 with run when it is down in the strikezone. Showcased a slower 11-5 breaker that is more of a gradual curveball, and a harder, sharper slider that had cutter-like movement. Throws from a high-3/4 to over-the-top arm angles. Has a smooth delivery. Hands stay stagnant throughout. Has a tendency to snap his neck when he pitches.
