6-foot-5, 215-pound Rutgers commit. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a direct swing path while staying inside the baseball routinely with an aggressive lower half. Made loud contact consistently while showcasing an above average feel for the baseball. Registered a 92 mph bat exit velocity while swing wood. Ran an impressive 6.87 60-yard dash and moved well around the bag at first base with a soft glove hand and 82 mph arm strength.

Sweeney has a lean, athletic build at 6-foot-4 200-pounds. Ranked No. 14 in NJ 2019 class, one of the top uncommitted position players in the state. On the mound, sat 81-83. Up tempo delivery, athletic balance point with good shoulder leverage going down the mound. Uses balance leg and backside well to power him down the mound. 3/4 slot, breaking ball showed smallish 11/5 break.
