Comments
4/23/16 - Mondile stands at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. Is long wiry and athletic, and possesses a plus plus arm. Ranked the #1 right-hander in NJ and #2 overall player behind Jason Groome, Mondile was sitting at 92-93 early on in this game, and dialed it up to 94 for one pitch. A fierce competitor, Mondile looks to dominate opponents on every single pitch. His breaking ball registered at 75 for most of the day, but he has gotten it up into the 80s in other outings. He starts his windup with a step to his left and his hands go over his head for added rhythm. He comes to a tall balance point, then explodes to homeplate. The ball seems to jump out of his hand. A definite draft prospect, Mondile has a projectable prototypical pitcher’s body frame, with room for added muscle.
