Joining us all the way from Newfoundland, Ledgister has progressed well since last spring’s Future Games Trials. The left-handed hitting backstop comes equipped with some physicality at 6-foot, 205-pounds, good for a maximum exit velocity of 91mph. Simple and relaxed at the dish from an upright position that will play for power to the gaps when he lifts the ball. Strong lower half that hinges well around his front leg.

Ledgister looked comfortable in the box today with an aggressive approach hunting fastballs early in counts. He crushed a FB over the right-fielder's head for a standup double. Also a steady defensive catcher, Ledgister will be one of the more consistent catchers over the next week.

2024 C/OF Phillip Ledgister had one of the more mature showings on Sunday with his combination of size and strength at 6-foot-, 190-pounds. Did his best work at the dish and posted some loud swings while working to the pullside. Balanced left-handed swing with a strong lower half that he utilizes well. Defensively he looks most comfortable at the dish with a quick transfer and throws up to 68mph. Also worked up to 75mph from the outfield.
