Showed above average arm strength from behind the dish and the ability to receive. The glove is soft and he secures the catch well. The arm is long on the backside and all the throws have carry to them. At the plate, the setup is wide in base and the swing is free. The path is long and strong to the ball. Shows pull side power at times.
Preseason All-State (February 28, 2016)
Stands 5-foot-11, 186-pounds. Offensively- Sets up with a strong relaxed base and uses a simple back to front load with simple separation up top. He showed some good pop in the bat for a young stick with an 84-mph exit velocity. Defensively- Sets up with a strong base and showed a + arm staying between 2.01-2.08 on his pop times and was consistently on the bag. Certainly a promising young defender to keep eyes on in the 2018 class.
