A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Hop+
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.

Physical: 5-foot-7, 160 pounds; Muscular, proportional build. 8.3 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Drops hands on the way back with an exaggerated leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a high finish. More flyballs than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman. Was able to hit for power to the opposite field as well as the pull side. Very projectable middle of the order type bat.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while playing low to the ground. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a while using various arm slots. INF - 74 MPH.
Pitching: Borges uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Moderate arm swing while without restrictions, while working through a standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 71 MPH, while sitting 67-70 MPH; commands both sides. CB: 53-54 MPH; 11-5 shape. CH: 60-63 MPH; maintains same plain.
4/03/21
Physical: 5-foot-7, 160LBS. 8.47SEC 60-Yard Dash.
Offensively: Upright stance with feet slightly wider than shoulder width. Barrel resting on shoulder and loading straight back. Not much of weight transfer in the lower half, rather a quick load with the hands. Barrel is direct to contact and finishes high. Hits into a firm front side.
Pitching: Primary RHP. Starts on the middle of the rubber and is squared to the plate. Uses a rocker step and leg lift to waist height to prepare to move down the slope. Hands start and stay at waist height up to glove break. At glove break the arm goes out and back into the arm circle. Releases from a high 3/4 slot.
