July 2018

Tall and strong athletic frame. Defensive moves well around the bag with clean fielding mechanics. Receives the ball well around the bag. Offensively sets up in power stance with quick hands through the zone. Has upward barrel lift bat action with gap to gap potential. Athletic player with good potential. Had an outstanding workout last week at the NYS Games.

June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

60 Yard Dash:

Exit Velocity:

Positional Arm:
88

6-foot-4, 180-pounds with premium size. Smooth, long actions defensively, quick release from a 3/4 slot, 88 mph arm-strength. Simple set-up in the box. Loose and quick swing. Signs of power to the gaps, leverage in the swing.

Pitching:

Peak Fastball: 87
Fastball Range:
83-86
CB/SL Range
63-66

Big, projectable frame with a proportional build. Wide shoulders and long arms. Loose arm action. High 3/4 release point. Good stride length that keeps him inside of his legs and on balance. Still plenty of room left for projection. Ball comes out of his hand easily.

Fall 2017
Long and lean at 6-foot-4 177 pounds. Works downhill at 84-85 MPH. Showed some offensive potential with line drives to the gaps and serviceable left side glove (3B).
Team Citius Workout
Tirado stands in at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds with a tall and lean athletic frame. Ran a 7.65 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with his torso leaning out towards the plate with his hands held just above the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger is a knee raise in to stride forward while his hands move back into a good hitting position. Lower body rotation is efficient utilizing his whole body frame throughout the whole swing. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with an upward lift barrel path throughout into a high one handed finish; stays through the ball. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side during batting practice rounds. Covers the plate well and has as fluid swing. Recorded an exit velocity of  88 MPH. Defensively- Athletic footwork getting in front of the baseball. Fields ball in on his body causing delay into his transfer. Has an above average arm at 85 MPH across the diamond. Staying lower through his throwing motion and carrying more momentum into his finish will only help.  Pitching- Sets up in the middle of the rubber and uses a simple side step into his knee raise above hip crease. In power position he closes himself off bringing his front knee to opposite hip prior to striding out. Separation is fluid with a high ¾ release into an efficient follow through. Repeats similar mechanics on different pitches and hides the ball well. Very consistent and fluid throughout whole delivery with a long and loose arm. Fastball has late arm side run that was recorded at 84-85 MPH with all kinds of arm speed and whip.  Curveball has 12/6 action; will need more work to acquire tighter spin. Recorded 70-71 MPH. Change up had late run diving down an in on the arm side at 75-76 MPH.
