6/27/22

Physical: 6-foot-1, 210 pounds; Sturdy, athletic build. 7.93 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a short swing path with a two handed finish.  More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 94 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Walks into ready position while playing low to the ground. The glove plays out in front with a clean transfer to a moderate arm action with the ability to use various arm slots.  INF - 70 MPH.

2/23/22

Physical: 6-foot-1, 210 pounds; Sturdy, proportional build.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish.  More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 73 MPH.

2/17/21

Physical: Strong, well put-together 5-foot-11, 190-pound frame with durability throughout. 8.08 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - The righty started from a wide, balanced stance utilizing a toe tap stride to initiate the hands through a fluid, flat path with lift after contact. Hit into a stiff front side with feel for the hands, smooth and connected throughout the swing yielding hard line drive contact to the pull-side gap. Recorded a near 300 foot batted ball distance coupled with a 44% fly ball rate, evidenced by producing consistent backspin on pitches out over the plate. Efficient juice at the plate (66 mph average bat speed, but 90 mph bat-exit velocity) pointing towards a high power ceiling down the line (19.5 G’s of rotational acceleration per Blast Motion).

Defensively: The primary first baseman featured average footwork, arriving on time to the fielding window with a soft glove hand. Played moderately high in the posture before bending down into a low position as he fielded off the middle-left side. Funneled into the body giving way to accurate 70 mph arm strength across the diamond from a ¾ slot.
