May 2018
Athletic frame with broad shoulders and a tapered lower half; room for gains especially in the legs. Repeats delivery from a ¾ arm slot; Worked effortlessly in the 89-91 MPH range through 5 innings. Was up to 93 in the 1st and popped two 92 MPH FB in the 5th. Slider at times flashed some razor blade action with late tilt at 79-81 MPH. When working beneath the ball the action was more cutter like or backed up on him at 78 MPH.
Spring 2017
Lean and athletic on the mound. Compact and quick delivery, with a great deal of front hip separation creating above average torque from hips to shoulders. He uses a very long and back towards the shortstop arm-action, no restrictions as he gets to his release point, power 3/4 slot with natural arm-side run from a four-seam fastball. Curveball at times is advanced with a tight shape 1/6. Fastball is stilling 88-89 with an occasional 90-91 MPH. Neeck is already verbally committed to Virginia and is one of the top left-hand pitching prospects in the country.
Summer 2016
The 6-foot-0, 165-pounds rising junior has all the tools to develop into a serious high-level prospect. Neeck's fastball sits in the mid-to-upper 80's, this summer reaching the 90 mph mark, from a smooth repeatable delivery. Doesn’t appear to use much effort and shows good command with strikeout ability. His change-up is already above-average and in-games is his go-to offspeed pitch. As he grows and adds weight to his lanky frame more velocity will come, but he already displays pitchability and signs of dominance from the left-side.
Summer 2015
Neeck has a pitchers frame at 6-foot-0, 165-pounds with plenty of room for growth. He works from a quick but balanced delivery, arm is clean and throws from a high-3/4 slot, fastball low-mid 80's with arm-side run. Stays closed through release, finish is athletic.
