Repeatable short/compact swing path with consistent extension and weight transfer. Exit velocity of 84 MPH. Stayed through the middle well; line drive results. Defensively- Compact target behind the plate; explosive with footwork on throwdowns; arm strength up 5 MPH from July 2015 to 75 MPH. Uncorked an mpressive 1.95 pop time; staying in the 1.95 to 2.12 range. While blocking, creates a nice pocket and was able to deaden the ball right in front. Above average athleticism behind the plate.
Buckeye Elite Showcase (July 8, 2015)
5-foot-9, 165-pound athletic body frame. Defensively- From the crouch he uses good footwork to get himself turned and in line on his throws to second base. He throws with a clean, short arm action coming from a high ¾ slot. He reached a top velocity of 70 mph to reach pop times between 2.12-2.21.
