Full bodied 1B with a strong lower half who swings it from the right side. Offensively- Even setup at the plate, short take back of the hands. Aggressive lower half with some natural lift to his pull side. Two-handed finish with an exit velocity of 77 MPH but played much louder then that. Power potential is there with several balls driven with the wood during BP along with aggressive fastball hacks during the game. Defensively- At 1B Jerez showed soft hands out in front, proper footwork on his throws to the plate and the front end of the double play. Arm strength was at 62 MPH on throws across the infield. Improved agility and strength work will make him a force down the road.
