A lean athletic 5-foot-7, 137 pounds frame. Ran a 6.58 60 yard dash. Offensively- stands in the box with a slightly open stance. Uses a slight leg lift for timing before attacking the baseball. Direct bat path to the hitting zone. Displayed natural pop. Impressive bat speed for his size. Hard consistent contact during the hitting zone. Exit velocity was 88 MPH. Defensively- displayed sound athletic actions during the defensive portion. Quick, smooth transition to a quick release on throws across the infield. Strong low effort arm. Top throwing velocity was 81 MPH. The 2020 SS has the tools to make an impact at the college level.
Winter Open (February 11, 2018)
Bassett is a 5-foot-7 137 pound SS with a slender frame and fast twitch actions. He ran a 6.92 60 and recorded a 4.35 Home to 1st time. Offensively - Sets up with a slightly open, athletic stance. Bat is slightly above parallel in his set up. Attacks the ball with his lower half and produces line drives to all parts of the field with a repeatable swing and approach. Some easy power present. Exit velocity was 85 MPH off the tee. Defensively - Athletic infielder with soft hands; excellent lateral movement and body control. Show above average range, arm strength and the ability to get rid of the ball in a hurry. Arm peaked at 82 MPH across the diamond. Next level defender.

A player to watch for the future for sure. Athletic 5-foot-8 155 pounds with above average arm for his age; showed plus range with a repeatable line drive approach at the plate.
