Physical: Physical, well put together 6-foot, 180-pound frame with solid amount of feel in all phases of the game. 7.53 runner in the 60-yard dash. Franklin & Marshall commit.

Offensively: RHH. Tall, even stance with the hands starting low at the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a repeatable lift and replace stride with a natural slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone with plenty of fluidity through extension. Featured long limbs in the box and when contacting the ball out in front of the plate, the ball really jumped off the barrel creating loud contact to the pull side during batting practice. Hit into a stiff and adjustable front side with occasional controlled weight shift generating above average bat speed at the plate. Recorded a top of 89 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball and a max distance of 317 feet.

Defensively: The primary catcher was one of the top receivers at the event out of a low setup in the crouch while showcasing a soft glove hand that repeatedly beat the ball to the spot. Stole multiple 50-50 calls in game action and got below the low strike well. Pop times ranged from 2.25-2.33 with short straight line footwork and average transfers from glove to hand. The arm played with advanced strength and accuracy on the bag, with improved transfer skills, will be able to flirt with sub 2.10 pop times with regularity. Worked hard for his pitchers on block attempts while getting the glove into the ground first and creating soft walls on either side of the plate. C - 75 mph

Only took swings today. Open setup with some barrel tip during the load. Short, compact swing into the zone with the barrel finding the ball; loud contact that will play through the gaps.

6/25/19

An athletic frame at 6-foot-0 tall,165 pounds. Ran a 7.53 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- The right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance with feet shoulder width apart. Short simple load actions. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher before entering the hitting zone. Quick direct path to the hitting zone. Low effort mechanics.  Showed consistent hard line drives to the middle of the field. Gets good use of the lower half and stays balanced. Top exit velocity was 85 MPH. Defensively- Sits back in a wide stance. Displays a big target for the pitcher.  Receives the ball slightly off center. Has a smooth transition and a quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 71 MPH. Pop time ranged from 2.06-2.16.

2/15/19

Athletic 5-foot-11, 150 pounds C. Offensively- tall stance, simple load, loose hands and a small step towards the pitcher for timing. Fires the hands with a flat bat path through the zone at the point of contact, with an upright balanced one hand finish on the follow through. Displayed some pop pull side with an exit velocity of 83 MPH. Defensively- athletic stance low target, above average transfer, above average footwork, and a strong arm with a 70 MPH throw to 2B. Had a pop time range of 2.13-2.19. The 2021 C has the frame to be a good catch with some strengthening and development.
