Physical: Physical, well put together 6-foot, 180-pound frame with solid amount of feel in all phases of the game. 7.53 runner in the 60-yard dash. Franklin & Marshall commit.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, even stance with the hands starting low at the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a repeatable lift and replace stride with a natural slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone with plenty of fluidity through extension. Featured long limbs in the box and when contacting the ball out in front of the plate, the ball really jumped off the barrel creating loud contact to the pull side during batting practice. Hit into a stiff and adjustable front side with occasional controlled weight shift generating above average bat speed at the plate. Recorded a top of 89 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball and a max distance of 317 feet.
Defensively: The primary catcher was one of the top receivers at the event out of a low setup in the crouch while showcasing a soft glove hand that repeatedly beat the ball to the spot. Stole multiple 50-50 calls in game action and got below the low strike well. Pop times ranged from 2.25-2.33 with short straight line footwork and average transfers from glove to hand. The arm played with advanced strength and accuracy on the bag, with improved transfer skills, will be able to flirt with sub 2.10 pop times with regularity. Worked hard for his pitchers on block attempts while getting the glove into the ground first and creating soft walls on either side of the plate. C - 75 mph

2/15/19
Athletic 5-foot-11, 150 pounds C. Offensively- tall stance, simple load, loose hands and a small step towards the pitcher for timing.
