2027 C/1B Conor Mullin (Clarkstown North) 5-9, 162.3. Wiry, projectable build. Moves with fluid control but currently lacks explosive twitch. Flat, direct path that peppers the gaps with backspin carry. Quiet receiver with strong wrists. Quick out of the crouch with an efficient transfer and true carry on throws. Athletic Testing - Grip Strength (R/L): 138.8 / 133.9

Physical: 5-7, 149.3 pounds; Proportional, slight build. Noticeably added size. 7.74 runner in the 60.

Offensively: Switch hitter. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Short take back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of R84/L85 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while staying low during transfer. Short arm circle from a high 3/4 arm slot. 2.12-2.28 pop times. C - 70 MPH. INF - 76 MPH.

Physical: 5-7, 135 pounds; Proportional, slender build. 7.74 runner in the 60.

Offensively: Switch hitter. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a late one hand finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of R72/L76 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while staying low during transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high 3/4 arm slot. 2.29-2.40 pop times. C - 67 MPH. INF - 75 MPH.

2/24/23

Physical: 5-foot-7, 135 pounds; Athletic, lean build. 8.13 runner in the 60.

Offensively: Switch hitter. Open setup, with feet narrow; flat bat to start. Extended take back of the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with a finish around the back.  More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of R73 L78 MPH via Trackman. From the left side: even setup, moderate leg kick, one handed finish.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep step while sitting back. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. 2.21-2.29 pop times. C - 65 MPH. INF - 72 MPH. Also worked out at catcher. Traditional setup, stays low during transfer, short take back, over the top release.
