Campus Series - Oswego (August 15, 2017)
Antone stands 5-foot-10, 197-pounds with a solidly built frame. Offensively- Even on the setup, small load with hands, brings knee back for timing. Some juice to his pull-side from a compact, level path to the ball. Short extension, would benefit from longer full extension. Exit velocity of 84 MPH just a notch below previous best of 85 MPH. Defensively- From 3B, stays behind and through the ball, 69 MPH arm to the bag (Down a few from previous best). Corner projection with offensive ability, may be better suited at 1B over long term.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Antone stands at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds. Had a 60 yard dash time of 7.80 seconds. Offensively- Wide open stance with knees bent low. Hands begin close to back ear. Uses a small leg kick that gets stance to even. Hands start close to body before extending through contact. Swing plane is slightly uphill. Weight transfer forward with stride foot before hips rotate in swing. High, two handed finish that stops abruptly before being completely finished. Had an exit velocity of 85 MPH off of the tee. Has some power potential if he can stay behind the ball longer initially. Defensively- Approaches the ball with short, choppy steps. Fields ball with feet narrow and slight bend at the knees. Fields ball out in front of his body. Uses a double shuffle to initiate throws. Straight over the top arm action on throws of 74 MPH. Corner infield mold both at the plate and defensively.
