Physical: Projectable 6-foot-3, 205lb frame with some mound presence available.
Pitching: RHP - Moderate pace down the slope, utilizing longer levers to win on the front-side of the delivery. Found a loose H ¾ slot and created heavy action at 86-88 mph. Mixed a shorter, two-plane 71-75 mph CB that operated on an 11/5 tilt and added a fading mid-70’s CH. Feel for three pitches and lived up in the zone with the heater; arm-slot plays, more velo to come.
6/28/21
Physical: Strong, athletic 6-foot-3, 195lb frame with feel for his body and two way abilities. 7.26 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Wide, even stance with the hands operating high above the head with slight rhythm available. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the bat head through a slightly uphill, repeatable path into the zone. High finish on the backside creating some lift in the approach en route to a 40% fly ball rate (via Trackman) which did big time damage when backspinning to the pull-side up to a T93 mph bat-exit velocity. Doubles power present with good top hand feel and bat to ball skills, able to hit pitches where they were thrown, holding posture and balance well out over the plate during his round.
Defensively: The outfielder stayed behind the ball with good reads and slight down chest angles over the toes. Held momentum and fielded off the left side of his body softly, funneling into the chest and exchanging to H slot (85 mph arm, accurate to target).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber with adequate pace in the delivery; got to a balanced stack driving out into a slightly offset land creating some crossfire at H slot. Tricky release and FB ranged from 82-84 mph with a consistent 10 inches of arm-side run. Mixed in a shorter 73-76 mph CB at 2036rpms and added a quality, commanded 75-78 mph CH that tunneled greatly off the FB slot up to 17 inches of fade (100% zone rate, flashes of plus).
