Blaisdell stands in at 6-foot-3, 240-pounds with a tall athletic corner infielder’s frame and a thick lower half. Ran a 7.7 – 60, improved from posting a 8.12 in February 2016.Pitching- On the mound he uses a fluid delivery, belt-high knee lift, clean arm-action with a good arm-circle. Stride was a little too short for his size, releases the ball from a high-3/4 slot, pull-side favors the first-base side before release. Fastball sat 77-78, topped 79 mph, throws a heavy ball. Pushes his change up at times, velocity was 68 mph with some strikezone feel. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet outside his shoulders in a wide base. Knees are bent slightly with an upright torso. Hands are held in front of the chest with little pre-pitch movement. On pitch his trigger is a toe tap back to stride forward while his hands move slightly up behind the shoulder into a good hitting position. Strong lower body rotation getting whole frame involved in the swing. Quick hands to the hitting zone with good upward lift throughout into a high two handed finish. Covers the plate well and shows strength hitting the ball gap to gap; flashing some pull side power. Recorded an exit velocity of 94 MPH, improved from posting an 87 MPH in February 2016. Defensively- Good approach to the baseball. Comes off first base well. Throwing process could be cleaned up by being more aggressive and quick with footwork and body mechanics to get the ball out of the glove and into the throwing hand. Recorded a positional throwing velocity of 74 MPH, a 1 MPH improvement from February 2016.

Ethan is filled out 6-foot-3 235 pound corner infielder who worked out at 1B. He ran a 8.12 60 and a 4.62 home-to-1B. Offensively- Ethan starts in a wide open stance using a toe-tap in followed by a stride forward (and back to even). Hands start close to the center of his body with a load just off his back shoulder with a 45 degree bat angle. Stays behind the ball into contact with a compact stroke into the zone. Showed some juice in his bat, especially through the middle of the field. Exit velocity was a respectable 87 MPH. Defensively- Ethan moves well around the bag, demonstrating soft hands a quick exchange. Arm strength was a 73 MPH with a short arm action/snap like release from a low 3/4 slot. Active feet and presents a suitable target.
