Carter, an impressive 2020 grad from Roosevelt HS, stands at a lean, athletic 5-foot-10 and 140-pounds. He ran an impressive 7.0 60. Offensively- Solid lower half base, with feet slightly more than shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent. Hands are above the right shoulder with the bat slightly higher than 45 degrees. Creates hand separation with lift of the front leg while driving the hands, which get outside the back shoulder, back. This young player showed ability to drive the ball into the gaps and recorded an impressive exit velocity of 82 MPH. Looking at the measurable this young player put up, definite follow in the years to come. Defensively- Fluid, athletic movements to the ball. Uses short choppy steps to create momentum and energy towards the target. Funnels and transfer well, using short arm action. Recorded and arm velocity of 69 MPH, which should increase over the next few years as this 2020 grad gets bigger and stronger. This young player is a definite follow over the next few years!
