Physical: Athletic; 6-foot-1, 183 lb frame
Pitching: Side rocker step into a leg lift and coil, glove tap for timing as sits into back side and drives down the mound following through to the glove side. Long, fluid arm swing to a natural 3/4 slot.
FB: Commands down hill with some life through the zone. CB: Good feel for it with 11-5 shape and early break out of the hand. CH: Maintains hand speed with arm side run up to 14"
At the plate, the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance and feet shoulder width apart. Simple load actions. The 2022 graduate sprayed the ball to the pull side and middle part of the field. On the mound, the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery. Montanye was impressive in live game actions displayed his plus CB ranging from 62-64 MPH. FB peaked at 78 MPH. The 2022 RHP works off a strong balanced backside. The 2022 graduate is a must follow.
