June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

Peak Fastball: 82
Fastball Range:
79-81
CB/SLRange
65-68    Change Range: 71-73
Strong athletic build with good drive off the mound. Features a mid 3/4 release point with consistent mechanics and spots well in the zone. Curveball is tight with a cross plate break with accuracy. Fastball shows good arm side run. Change up shows good sinking action.
NYS Games - June 25-27 2017
Sturdy 6-foot, 190-pound RHP, ran a 7.42/60. Pitching - quick arm action of a ¾ slot, effortless, late movement on 81-83 MPH that touches 84 MPH used to set up 12-to-6 curveball that freezes right-handed batter, hard bite on slider, mixes in change-up down in the zone at 75-76 MPH, consistently induces weak contact. Offensively - effective load, loose and fluid swing, brings bat through strike zone on level path, full extension with slight upper cut and exit velocity of 81 MPH, some evidence of counter rotation between upper and lower torso, further lower body engagement will increase power.

7/12/17

In the infield, his footwork is average. Fields the ball square to the body out front on the balls of his feet. Funnels the ball to his waist prior to a quick transfer. Shows some solid glove skills and creates nice angles. Throws from a higher 3/4 arm slot with average arm speed. At the plate he starts in an athletic setup prior to initiating load through a leg kick. Barrel flows into a vertical launch position prior to swing decision. A strong kid who takes al level path to the baseball. Bat speed is above average for his class. Consistently found the barrel in BP, producing line drives to both fields. Solid young hitter. On the mound the righty is mechanically clean and delivery requires some effort. Arm works well through a high-3/4 slot. Arm speed is above average for his class. Fastball was heavy and mostly true through the zone. Consistently was in the zone with the offering. All of his secondary offering are well above average. Curveball and slider are both sharp, tending to run into each other at times. Changeup was one of the better ones we saw all day. The pitch had late run and dive while using fastball arm speed.
