June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

60 Yard Dash:
7.72
Exit Velocity:
84
Positional Arm:
73

5-foot-10, 170-pounds with sturdy size and has the frame to add more strength. Simple actions defensively, smooth throwing motion, 73 mph arm-strength. Aggressive in the box with a simple set-up and approach. Barrel stays in the zone a long time, 84 mph exit velo.

Pitching (NYS Games)

Peak Fastball: 78
Fastball Range:
75-78
CB/SL Range
61-63

Lanky arms and legs. Solid body type with potential for more size with increased strength. Tends to be quick to the plate but has the control to rebound and be in the strike zone. Arm is long and wraps slightly behind head with a 90 degree elbow bend at the highest point in separation. Hesitates slightly at highest leg lift point to generate drop/drive leverage and creates some deception for the hitter. Explodes towards the target in line but tends to fall off to glove side at times. CB has some feel to it with average spin and drop action.

April 2018

Grausgruber features a filled out 6-foot-1 frame. Controlled, deliberate pace when working out of the windup. Straight over the top arm slot while working downhill over a firm front side. Commands fastball well to his glove side and features a big 12-to-6 CB with some serious depth. At the plate he sets up with a spread stance; quiet timing mechanisms with a sweeping swing through the zone. Additional lower half effort will help him reach his power potential. The 3B/RHP will be with us at the NY Games in late June.

Winter Open (February 11, 2018)

Grasugruber is a 5-foot-10 175 pound right handed pitcher and third baseman. Solid athletic frame. Ran a 7.71 60 and a ran a 4.65. Offensively- Starts with bat straight up, slight bend in the knee, feet shoulder width apart. Double toe tap load. Compact swing that stays in the zone; line drive results. Can work to both fields. 78 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Active feet and athletic stance allows for easy movement to the ball. Soft hands combined with strong arm makes throwing across the diamond look easy. Would benefit from agility work to better his first step. Pitching- Starts with left foot just off to the side of the mound. Short step starts windup. Hands start at belt. Big leg kick sees knee comes up just past belt; 3/4 arm slot, throws downhill with intent. Fastball sat 79-81 MPH. Keeps changeup low, keeps arm speed same with both fastball and off speed. Curveball was 67-68 while Changeup sat 70-71 MPH. Projects as a pitcher at the next level. 2019 grad.
