Physical: Lanky, athletic 6-foot, 160lb frame with long proportions that can hold strength. 7.15 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, narrow stance at an even position as the hands operated at the shoulder to start. Utilized a short leg lift, stretching out to the pitcher, initiating through a flat/whippy path into the hitting zone. Posted a T87 mph bat-exit velocity with ability to match pitch-plane early in ball flight with strong bat to ball skills (50% line drive rate via Trackman). Able to spray hard contact through the middle of the field while hitting into an adjustable/firm front-side at impact. Notched a 265 foot batted ball distance with singles power available.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a calm, soft glove hand at the catch, as pop times ranged from 2.04-2.12 driving through the plate from a lower posture in the legs. Clean transfers to a H ¾ release on the front-side, working up to an accurate 71 mph arm strength. Then moved to the outfield, demonstrating some feel in space with natural reads off the bat. Created long steps and range to either side with some tempo during defense. Recorded a T79 mph arm strength using a deeper takeaway and momentum.
Physical: 6’ 160 OF/C ran a 6.78 laser timed 60-yard dash. Thin frame has room to continue to add size and strength.
Offensively: He starts in a shoulder width stance with a slight bend to his knees. His hands have a slight movement before loading into his legs and beginning his timing mechanism. He uses a small leg lift and short stride to start his momentum shift into the pitch. The barrel path works short down through the ball before finishing his swing on the follow through.
Defensively: He receives from a traditional squatted stance and is able to stay quiet throughout the catch. He has a slight delay between the catch and transfer to the throwing hand. His arm works by reaching back and high before pulling down to his target.
A lean 5-foot-11, 135 pounds. Ran a 7.37 60 yard dash. Offensively- stands in the box in a tall stance slightly open. Displayed quick hands. Quick in and out of the hitting zone. Could use more lower half in the swing. The development will only increase his numbers. Defensively- sets in a low wide base. Above average footwork on throws to 2B. Average exchange and quick transfer on throws. Top throwing velocity from a low ¾ angle was 64 MPH. Pop time range was 2.62-2.72.
