Sat low 80's at Syracuse Sportzone tournament in Rome, NY. Consistent with delivery; mix and matched offerings. Off-speed offerings were more consistent and continue to use in any spot. Works the game well; handles runners; pitchability is there.

First look at Hayner in game action and he portrayed the role of the LHP who will be able to get outs at the next level, regardless of velocity. Mixed and matched throughout the game, sometimes by design, others by coincidence (drops down 3-4 MPH from the stretch). Repeats his delivery with a low 3/4 arm slot, sitting 78-80 MPH from the windup, showing a circle change in the 71-72 MPH range. Curveball showed early action at 66 MPH. Secondary stuff is good enough to keep batters off balance at the high school level but will need more polish going forward. Not afraid to go to his off-speed in even or advantage hitter's counts and when on can pepper the arm side FB to RHH.
