8-15-2018: Big, wide frame at six-foot-five, 205 pounds. Body type and build projects to add more weight and strength, but may not translate to adding more velocity. Tight shoulder. Arm action is stiff and slingy from a low three-quarter slot. Lands well across his body with an upright finish and minimal extension. Was aggressive and challenged with his fastball. Ranged from 85-90 mph with good arm side life. Slurve at 78-80 flashed depth at times but mostly was a horizontal breaking ball, backing up often. Struck out 25 in 23 inning pitched this summer with a 5.78 ERA in 12 relief appearances. (D Jurik)
