Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 170lb frame; the Ithaca College commit ran a 7.25 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH - Balanced, even stance just at shoulder-width as the hands operated high to start. Utilized a short leg lift to initiate the bat head through a twitchy, flat path into the hitting zone. Matched pitch plane well with natural bat to ball skills, staying over the rear hip with minimal extra movements in the swing. Sprayed hard contact through the middle of the field, working into a firm/adjustable front side at impact en route to a T83 mph bat-exit velocity. Mostly singles power at the moment with ability to lift to the RCF gap for extra-bases (near 300 foot batted ball).

Defensively: The shortstop is a highly advanced defender, galloping to the spot with downhill momentum and feel for his body in space. Wasted no time off the bat, on the attack over the toes with intent to get rid quickly. A loud 87 mph arm strength from H ¾ slot played at game pace and transfers well with accuracy present.

Pitching: RHP - Began from the far right tip of the mound, operating with average pace to the delivery towards a balanced stack. Created intent and violent rotational drive down the slope into footstrike, releasing from a H ¾ slot into the zone. The FB landed at 83-85 mph with some carry to the top of the zone, mixing a two-plane 69-71 mph breaker at T2575rpms for awkward swings.

Physical: Lean and athletic 5-foot-7, 145-pound frame with room to add strength as he matures. 7.88 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH. Balanced even setup with the hands starting high at the ear with slight rhythm. Utilized a controlled lift-and-replace stride with a short shoulder turn for the load to initiate his swing. Showcased a strong top hand into the hitting zone through a flat barrel path yielding hard line drives to the pull-side during batting practice. Displayed high level bat to ball skills on balls on the inner half with short rotational power and feel through extension. Hit into a stiff front side and registered an 83 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The primary shortstop has a chance to be a solid defender at the next level with enough pace to stick on the left side moving forward. Featured a low center of gravity with good lateral movement and a quick first step allowing for range to either side. A soft glove hand played smoothly out in front and repeatable, fluid transfers generated accurate throws out of a high ¾ arm-slot with ability to change the arm angles depending on the play. SS - 84 mph

Pitching: RHP - Pace in a compact delivery with a quick arm through a high ¾ slot on the front side. FB sat 78-81 mph with quality play up in the zone and mixed a tight 69-70 mph CB showing hard 11/5 break and high spin per Trackman Baseball. Attacked the zone with an edge during a solid outing.

Physical: 5-foot-7, 145-pounds. Wiry, compact frame.
Run: 7.73 runner in the 60.
Hit: LHH. Crouch stance, starts with weight on front foot, transfer weight with small leg kick, hands start high with very high back elbow Plus bat speed, hands clear zone quickly, swing is mostly upper half, could use lower half more, finishes with one hand.
Power: 75 MPH raw exit velocity. Consistent hard contact to pull side.
Defense: Approaches and attacks the ball low to ground, works ground up, consistent footwork fielding the ball on his glove foot.
Arm: Long arm swing with a 3/4 slot. INF - 84 MPH.

Pitching Delivery: Up tempo delivery, Stays in line with a balanced, repeatable follow through.
Arm Action: Long arm action dropping down out of the glove, accelerates through a high 3/4 release.
FB: T84, 82-84 MPH. Downhill plane, commands in zone with arm side run.
CB: 67-70 MPH. 11-5 shape with early break.
CH: 73-75 MPH. Keeps hand speed with arm side fade.

Offensively- the left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Simple load actions. Quick direct path to the baseball. Displayed hard consistent contact to the pull side. Stays balanced throughout the swing. Defensively-the infielder displayed active footwork during the infield session at the campus series event. Moves well laterally. Kaplan has a quick exchange to a high ¾ arm slot. Pitching-the right handed pitcher displayed a balanced repeatable delivery during the live game action. Impressive outing working with a two pitch mix. Kaplan pitches from a high ¾ arm slot and pounds the FB with an impressive command. Kaplan is a 2022 who is a must follow.
