WNY All-Star Games (August 27, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, with an athletic body build. On the mound, he uses a simple side step, balanced delivery, arm action is fairly clean and loose, throws with a high 3/4 arm slot. He drives from balanced position and finishes over his front side consistently. His fast ball was (76-78 MPH) topping out at 80 MPH. Curveball (61-63 MPH) had an 11 to 5 downward action and changeup (66 - 67 MPH) had a little late downward action. His arm strength was 80 MPH. He leaves scouts thinking there definitely could be more in the tank as he progresses over the next few years. He’s a pitcher that is not afraid to use all his pitches no-matter the count. In the games he was able to produce groundballs, fly balls, and caught some hitters looking. Southern Tier Open (August 5, 2015)
Pitching- Keegan really impressed the staff with his outing. He features a clean delivery with an aggressive finish out over his front side. Opens up some into his landing with a slight recoil after release but otherwise is able to repeat his delivery pitch to pitch. Arm action features some early extension before his upswing, possibly causing for a loss in arm speed. Recovers nicely and works from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 76-78, touching 80 MPH. Very easy effort which leads us to believe that there is more in the tank. Change up was impressive with the way it held it's position before some late fade at 66-67 MPH. Curveball was 61-63 MPH with some 11-5 shape and was used to get ahead in the zone and to expand late. Not afraid to use all of his pitches, sets up hitters well and is around the zone. A LHP that features those traits will open a lot of doors for himself in the next 2 years. A polished product for his age, Keegan has a high ceiling on the mound will be able to get outs at the next level.
