An athletic build at 6-foot-0 tall, 185 pounds. Ran a 7.64 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands In the box in a tall stance. Loose hands. Short simple load. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher before attacking the hitting zone. Quick direct path to the baseball. Natural whip throughout the hitting zone. Displayed hard consistent contact. Top exit velocity was 82 MPH. Defensively- Showed active footwork. Fields the ball slightly off-center. Takes time to gather himself on throws across the diamond. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 80 MPH. Pitching- Displayed a repeatable delivery. Stays balanced throughout his delivery. Works mainly from the left side of the rubber. Uses a high knee lift and takes his time to gather himself into a balanced backside. Drives downhill. Smooth hand separation. FB has some arm side run and ranged from 79-81 MPH. FB peaked at 82 MPH. Showed feel for a CB ranging from 70-72 MPH.

An athletic 6-foot-0, 185 pounds build. Ran a 7.63 60 yard dash. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box with feet shoulder width apart and in an athletic position. Short load and stride towards the baseball. Direct path to the baseball. Out of the hitting zone quickly after contact. Stays balanced throughout the swing. Showed consistent hard contact to the middle of the field. Top exit velocity was 82 MPH. Defensively- as a 3B, displays active feet. Gets into a wide base when fielding the baseball. Smooth infield funnel actions. Quick transfer and release on throws across the infield. Top throwing velocity was 82 MPH. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and a live low effort arm action. Works mainly from the left side of the rubber. Works with some tempo. Uses a high knee lift and early hand separation. Shows good command of a FB which peaked at 82 MPH. Showed feel for a CB with an early spin at 68-70 MPH and a CH 67-68 MPH. The 2020 graduate has the arm strength to play 3B at the college level. On the mound, has some upside with a low effort arm action.


 

 

Last Chance Preview - Long Island (October 8, 2018)

Athletic build and projectable frame at 6-foot, 174-pounds. Offensively – Feet set-up just outside of shoulder width in balanced, slightly open stance. Subtle toe-tap before getting into short, quick forward stride. Hands stay tight to the body and create simple, compact swing. Barrel worked inside of the ball and consistently produced line-drive contact during BP. Projects to show more power in the future with added strength. Overall, hitting actions are smooth and repeatable. Defensively – Light on his feet at 3B. Stays balanced while moving laterally. Consistently flashed a soft glove hand when receiving the ball. Fields in a wide, athletic base. Compact, whippy arm action from ¾ slot. Projectable defensive actions that should allow him to stay at 3B long-term. Pitching – Repeatable delivery with mechanically sound throwing actions. Deliberate tempo with everything he does. Stays smooth and under control when working down the slope. Uses short stride with consistent direction towards his target. Arm maintains constant elbow bend after takeaway. Fluid, projectable arm action with hand speed out front. Showed command/feel of all 3 offerings with the breaking ball having the chance to be above average in the future.
