Kyle Warner LHP (Springville Griffith HS, 2016)

New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)

Has an athletic build standing 6-foot-1, 180-pounds. On the mound he uses a quick, but balanced delivery. Arm action works free, arm slot is between a mid-high ¾-slot. Fastball sat 79-82 but jumps on hitters late with good command. Curveball was 72-74 with an early hump out of the hand. Changeup was 70 was some arm slowing down – needs more fastball hand speed. LHP to follow.

Warner stands 6-foot-1 180-pounds with a lean pitchers frame. On the mound he rotates his hips over the rubber and turns shoulders to the first base side with a long back (towards SS) arm action. He uses plus extension from a mid ¾ slot with a fastball sitting 81-83 mph with late action. His curveball sat 73 mph with an early hump and 1/7 shape. If he focuses on getting more on top of the curveball and out in front more he will see later, hard action. Very promising young lefty with a lofty ceiling.
