Athletically-gifted middle infielder; Defensively - sure hands with a smooth and easy transfer to throwing hand, capable of making plays in the hole between third and short as well as taking away hits up the middle, confident arm; Offensively - makes consistent barrel contact, keeps bat on level path with gap power, can drive on inside pitch to left and take ball out over the plate to middle third.

Wood stands at 5-foot-10, 160 pounds.  Ran home to first in 4.42.  Offensively- Righty with opened stance, hands at shoulder height. Strides back to even. Swing plane at an incline with a two-handed finish.  Exit velocity was improved by 7 MPH to 79 MPH.  Defensively- Square, loose base with active pre-pitch hop. Fields behind the ball.  High 3/4- arm slot.  Arm strength was an improved 71 MPH.

Lean 5-foot-10 160 pound infielder who ran a 7.91 60. Offensively- Balanced approach with flexion in the knees; short take back off the back shoulder with upward swing path. Mixed results with an exit velocity of 72 MPH.
Defensively- Uses a pre-pitch prep hop; soft approach with hands out in front. Could be more aggressive with his overall approach and allow that energy to filter into his throws. Arm strength peaked at 67 MPH across the diamond.
