Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; flat bat to start. Short take back with the hands with a heel lift for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a short swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; static during pre-pitch while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 72 MPH.
Physical: 6-foot-0, 145 pounds; Lean, Wiry build. 7.28 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back along with a slight leg-kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a high finish. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; static during pre-pitch while showing choppy feet. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Long arm swing from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 68 MPH.
Pitching: Phillips uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Long arm swing while showing some scap load, while standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 71 MPH, while sitting 69-71 MPH. CB: 63-65 MPH.SL: 63 MPH.CH: 63-65 MPH.
