Yale stands a thin 5-foot-9, 135-pounds with room for growth. Defensively- Behind the plate hes quick and athletic. Transfer is quick and clean. Stays low and gains ground towards 2nd on throw. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Above average (2.2) pop time for his age. Offensively- At the plate his feet start shoulder width apart, with his hands low. His front knee rotates in and his hands load back for timing. Drops and drags the bat a little, but stays level. Pulls the ball, gets out in front a little early. Should work on his finish. Good bat speed, (73mph) exit velocity. Pitching- On the mound he starts with a side step, hands low, to belt level leg lift. Good balance, stays over the rubber. Leads well with his hip. Lands slightly closed, hips rotate well. High 3/4 arm slot. Quick arm action. Slight wrap gives him some arm side run. Athletic motion, good extension, finishes out front. Departs rubber clean. (74mph) fb from the windup and stretch. Next level player, tough young athlete.
