Physical: Strong, imposing 6-foot-1, 215lb frame with good connection in the build. 7.52 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, even stance with a slight bend in the knees as the hands showed up/down rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a directional lift and replace stride out towards the pitcher, initiating the bat head through a loud, flat path with lift after impact. Was able to properly use some weight shift into the front-side, producing good leverage and natural sequencing at the plate. Recorded a noticeable T98 mph bat-exit velocity (94 mph average via Trackman) adding a near 370 foot peak batted ball during his batting practice round. Easy middle of the order traits and strong hands, hunting FB’s in-game with the ability to hit for some average as he matures (60% line drive rate, 80% hard hit rate).
Defensively: The third baseman featured a wide base, arriving on time with a soft glove hand presenting out in front of the toes. Bent at the waist, holding momentum through shuffles towards the target. Released accurately across the diamond with some intent from H ¾ slot (81 mph arm, third base projection).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far right side of the rubber from the stretch-only. Found a hip-coiled, lower stack position before unwinding down the slope into footstrike with good backside push at release (H ¾ slot). The FB landed at 83-85 mph with small arm-side run and some heavy action into the zone. Mixed a tight, commanded 71-74 mph SL that could be thrown as a get-me-over or as a strikeout offering (T10 inches HM via Trackman). Then countered with a killed 75-78 mph CH at 1864 rpms that showed occasional arm-side fade.
3/27/21
Pitching: Works out of the stretch; Leg lift above the belt with coil before sitting into back side keeping a vertical shin while striding out in line. Quality hip-shoulder separation accelerating into a strong front side. Short arm action working quick through a natural 3/4 slot.
FB: Life out of the hand pounding the zone with downhill plane. CB: High spin (2443 RPM) 2-plane breaker with up to -13.5" vertical drop and 18" horizontal movement. CH: Kills the spin with arm side fade up to 18"
2/17/21
Physical: Strong, thick 6-foot-1, 215-pound frame with obvious power in the lower half. 7.42 runner in the 60-yard dash demonstrating feel for his body.
Offensively: RHH - The righty started from a balanced, even stance with the hands showing controlled rhythm by the shoulder. Utilized a leg lift stride in order to initiate the bat head through a slightly uphill path with jump off the barrel towards the pull-side gap; worked flexed-to-extended in the arms allowing for leverage, really mature approach at the dish making sure he hit everything hard first and foremost. Recorded an impressive 95 mph bat-exit velocity en route to notching a 50% line drive rate during batting practice; a 50% hard hit rate (batted balls over 90 mph) and 350+ foot max batted ball distance both bode well for future prospects, as he attempts to reach a high power ceiling down the line.
Defensively: The primary third baseman featured a low posture with attacking footwork at the fielding window, worked right to left with a mostly soft glove hand presented out in front. Accurate, high ¾ slot using banana routes on the approach (75 mph arm across the diamond) .. The outfielder stayed behind the baseball well with good reads off the bat, moderate posture on the way through with the glove hand playing off the left foot, funneled into belt line, and accurate high ¾ slot with some carry towards the plate (79 mph).

Upright, rigid stance with some weight shifted on the back foot; uses a big toe tap back into a bigger stride forward, lunges into the ball with some wiggle in the bat. Aggressive actions in the lower half create some quality separation in the shoulders and hips with an uphill swing through some strong actions in the upper half, stays connected well and gets through the zone powerfully. Knocked the ball around the outfield with ease, displayed easy pop in the bat; peak Trackman exit velocity of 92 MPH. Defensively: Shoulder width feet and some bend at the waist allows him to stay low to the ground; Moves well laterally and works his feet smoothly to get around the right side of the ball. Soft hands that field close to his body and funnel directly to the belt; Long take away from the glove, drops the hands down and swings the arm up to fire from a low 3/4 slot. INF - 76 MPH. Pitching: Quick tempo down the slope with aggressive actions from the lower half, engages the glute well and rotates through the hips nicely . Hooks the hand behind his back out of the glove but gets it up into firing position on time, throws from a 3/4 slot with exceptional hand speed. FB: Peak velo of 83 MPH, while sitting 80-83 MPH. Filled up the zone with a below average spin rate, it would play best in the bottom of the zone as it has some "heavy" feel to it.SL: 71-72 MPH.
