IF Velo: 81 MPH
FB: 81-82 MPH (Peak 82 MPH)
CB: 69-70 MPH
CH: 73-74 MPH

3/1/17
Rivera has a strong, athletic build at 6-feet 185-pounds. Fastball touched 86 mph, sat mostly 83-84. Showcased a curveball at 73-75 with tight spin and 11/5 depth. Changeup had armside fade at 70-72 mph. Good looking athlete with controlled body movements through finish. Good rhythm throughout delivery, athletic balance point and uphill shoulders going down the mound. High-3/4 slot, creates good extension over lead leg on release. Finish is athletic and strong, squared to homeplate.

Eastern NY All-Star Games (September 13, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-10, 157 pounds, with an athletic body build.  Defensively – In the infield he has a smooth approach through the ball, with smooth, soft, quick hands, throws with a clean loose action, arm is strong across the diamond, plays through the ball, signs of side-to-side range.  Pitching - On the mound, he uses a simple side step, balanced delivery, arm action is quick and loose, throws with an over the top arm slot. He exhibits good command with a fastball up to 80 MPH.   Offensively - At the plate his setup is relaxed and very balanced, high leg kick stride, with a smooth load.  His hands are very compact and strong, swinging on a level plane with a shoulder high finish with extension through the ball.

Futures Games (July 2015)
Lean yet athletic build at 5'10" 155lbs. Nick showed serviceable foot speed with 7.14 60 time. Adequate left side arm with room for some growth at 73 MPH with and exit velocity of 81 MPH. Offensively Nick showed some juice in his bat, specifically to his pull side. At the plate Nick features a leg kick with some ground gained. Stays behind the ball well with minimal action with the bat barrel during load. Demonstrated aggressive back foot/hip rotation. Keeps hands inside contact and barrel angle above the ball. High finish with hands but with minimal weight transfer. Can handle the good fastball. Projects possibly better at 2B/3B in the long run but made all the plays at SS during games. Defensively Nick is extremely active with his footwork into the ball. Keeps steps choppy yet soft and changes directions well. Tends to field the ball underneath and on heels. Would love to see momentum maintained into fielding position and through throws.
