Physical: Advanced, mature 6-foot-1, 225lb frame with strength carried. 8.13 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wider, balanced stance as the hands showed higher with rhythm by the head to start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride, turning the barrel quickly over the rear hip through a slightly uphill path. Good posture and able to hold balance during the swing, notching an impressive T95 mph bat-exit velocity (via Trackman) and a 330 foot batted ball distance. True middle of the order capabilities with impressive rotational scores per Blast Motion and consistent bat-speed. Handled a gap to gap approach with more juice to LCF for extra-bases.
Defensively: The primary backstop received quietly from a traditional, strong stance. Pop times ranged from 2.07-2.14 setting slightly offset for rhythm purposes in catch/throw, replacing the feet outward towards the target. Released from a quicker, fluid H ¾ slot on the bag up to 70 mph arm strength. Then slid over to first base with above-average feel around the bag and calm right-left footwork at the fielding window. Moderate posture and good lateral movements; H ¾ release and 75 mph arm.

A physical 6-foot-1, 220 pounds projectable frame. Ran a 8.56 60 yard dash. Offensively- Tall stance with a slight bend in the knees. Rests bat on the shoulder. Short load with quick hands into the hitting zone. Gets hips through with a slight lift at the point of contact. Balanced through the zone. A lot left in the tank. Exit velocity was 78 MPH. Defensively- At 1B, stays under control when approaching the ball, displayed soft hands with a quick release on throws. Smooth around the bag. Throws across the diamond peaked at 67 MPH. As a C, presents a big target for the pitcher. Soft hands, above average transfer with a quick release. Top throwing velocity was 64 MPH. Pop time range was 2.32-2.54. The freshman as the frame to gain a lot of interest. The C will be a must follow as he continues to develop going forward.
