6/30/21

Physical: The Pace University commit stands 6-foot-2, 185lbs with projection. 7.66 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, shoulder-width stance as the hands started slotted at the shoulder. Utilized a short lift and replace stride, unleashing a rotational, flat path into the hitting zone. Created lift after impact, turning the chest slightly up through the ball towards the finish allowing for a loud pull-side approach with some loft available. Drove the ball in the air using backspin and good extension, working up to a 330 foot batted ball distance at his peak (doubles power). Posted a T95 mph bat-exit velocity and did damage on pitches above the belt.

Defensively: The third baseman gained distance and direction on the ball, working right to left at the fielding window with a soft glove hand. Presented early out in front and stayed on his toes, moving accurately to his left. Released from a lengthy H ¾ slot with some carry (81 mph arm).

Pitching: RHP - Started off the left side of the rubber, slightly set towards the third base dugout. Used a quicker pace, to maintain rhythm and bend in the arm, working down the slope athletically into footstrike from H ¾ slot. Good arm-talent and sequencing producing a slight downward trajectory on a 80-82 mph FB at 1934 rpms (heavy, arm-side run). Mixed in a sweeping 64-66 mph CB on a 10-4 tilt for strikeouts in advantage counts and turned to a high 70’s sinker for ground ball contact (16 inches HM average).

7/06/20

Physical: 6-foot-0, 165 pounds; lean, athletic frame.
Pitching: Works from the stretch on glove side, up-tempo knee to belt leg lift; long, loose limbs with a stride to the plate & a downhill finish. Segmented long arm action that drives down then into standard 3/4 release. FB: Peak velo of 77 MPH, while sitting 75-77 MPH. Gets good movement to arm side with some carry as well. CB: 61-63 MPH. Slider rotation with above average horizontal break. CH: 70-71 MPH. Gets very good fading action.

2/21/20

Physical: 6-foot-0, 150-pounds. Athletic frame with room to fill out. 7.09 runner in the 60; 4.41 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Upright upper half with some bend in the knees, hands high that work back on load along with a small stride for timing Hands are very quick to the hitting zone, bat is quick through the zone, level swing plane. Hard contact to pull side/pull side gap. 83 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Starts slightly upright showing his glove early, fields the ball in the middle of his body, could get it out in front more. Medium arm swing with a low 3/4 arm slot.  INF - 72 MPH.
Pitching: Works out of the stretch; leg lift above the waist, strides in line with a fundamental, balanced delivery. Long arm action dropping down out of the glove before getting up to a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T77, 75-77 MPH. Locates around the zone with natural cut.
CB: 61-62 MPH. 11-5 shape, early break.
CH: 70-71 MPH. Maintains arm speed.
