2/18/20

Physical: 6-foot-3, 175-pounds. Tall, Athletic, projectable build. 7.44 runner in the 60; 4.52 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, upright stance with feet shoulder width and even, hands start up in front of shoulder; Small leg kick gaining ground as hands get back and in Barrel takes direct path to the ball, level through the zone with a high 1 handed finish. Consistent line drive contact through the big part of the field. 84 MPH raw exit velocity.

9/22/19

At the plate, the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance slightly open. Simple load actions and quick direct path to the baseball. Low effort actions. Displayed hard consistent contact during batting practice at the 2019 Fall Top Prospect Games. Defensively, Cook moved well around the bag. Sits back on the baseball and smooth exchange to low effort throwing action. Cook takes his time to gather himself when making throws across the infield. On the mound, Cook displayed a repeatable low effort delivery. Worked with a three pitch mix in live game action. Cook has a projectable frame and is a must follow as he continues to develop.

2/19/19

A lean 6-foot-1, 150 pounds projectable frame. Ran a 7.52 60 yard dash. Offensively- stands in the box with a tall stance, loose hands and rests the bat on the shoulder. Short bat path through the hitting zone. Balanced throughout the swing and one hand finish. Exit velocity was 80 MPH. Defensively- displayed soft hands during the infield portion. Fields the ball close to his body, smooth exchange to a ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 74 MPH. Pitching- the right handed pitcher showed repeatable mechanics. Smooth hand separation from a close front side. Slight drop and drive delivery down the mound. FB peaked at 76 MPH, CB ranged from 60-61 MPH, and CH ranged from 66-67 MPH. The 2022 graduate is a must follow. The freshman has the projectable frame and actions to be an impact player at the college level.
