Slender 5-foot-10, 148-pound frame, ran a 7.17/60. Offensively - initiates lower body engagement with counter rotation from upper torso, keeps bat on level path through strike zone with slight upper cut and full extension and slight upper cut after contact for an exit velocity of 84 MPH, potential exists for more power as he grows into frame, repeatable motion. Defensively - agile footwork, quick and economic movements, smooth transfer to throwing hand with an outfield velocity of 80 MPH.
Academic Games- Mass (August 21, 2016)
Athletic left-handed hitting outfielder that showed the best arm from the outfield on the day. Defensively- Threw 86 mph from the outfield, might want to look into being a pitcher as the arm speed is legit. The approach and ability to get off the ball in the outfield is done properly. Ran a 4.33 down to first base on his dig in the game. Can play any of the 3 positions in the outfield. Offensively- At the plate, the frame needs strength, tee exit velocity of 84 mph. The hands are clean and work freely. Sets up with slightly open even feet. The hands are set high and the path is down and through the ball. Showed the ability to spray the ball in batting practice, staying in his legs during the swing. Needs to take that same approach to the game. Good looking prospect for me, like everything about his game. Physical strength needed, and if he puts in the work, he is a division 1 guy.
