Hit: RHH. Balanced stance, sitting in legs with feet even, hands waggle in front of shoulder; pick it up put it down stride, hands take a short load back Barrel is quick to and through the ball with high 2 hand finish.
Power: 86 MPH raw exit velocity. Hard contact through the middle and pull side.
Defense: 2.19-2.25 pop times. Athletic set up, gets feet getting in line with a quick transfer.
Arm: Quick arm action putting it around the bag. C - 70 MPH.
Walton is a 2021 graduate with a lean projectable athletic frame. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box with feet shoulder width apart. Walton has a quick direct path to the baseball. Displayed a quick swing path. Hard contact to the pull side of the field. Defensively- the catcher displayed a smooth transfer to a quick exchange from a high ¾ arm slot. Walton improved from his numbers from the winter with an approved pop time and throwing velocity.
A lean 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Ran a 8.05 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box with feet shoulder width apart with a slight crouch. Simple load, in and out of the hitting zone quickly. Balanced throughout the swing with a two hand finish. Flat bat path through the hitting zone. Exit velocity was 84 MPH. Defensively- Shoots from a wide low base with an above average transfer, and quick release. Smooth footwork. Pop time range was 2.19-2.29 with a top velocity of 68 MPH.
Projectable frame with lean, athletic build at 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Offensively – Wide, balanced set-up with slight knee bend. Feet start square with the pitcher. Short forward stride. Hands start loose and relaxed in center of body before pulling back into more athletic hitting position. Swing stays level thru the zone. Kept hands inside of the ball and consistently found barrel. Level, 2-handed finish after contact. Defensively – Sinks down in hips to present low target while maintaining good posture with upper body. Soft glove hand when receiving. High exchange into ¾ release point with clean arm action. Comes out of crouch quickly while getting lined up with 2b. Shows quick ‘block and recover’ actions
