Notes

6/28/21

Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot-3, 220lb frame with durability carried in the actions. 7.81 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Crouched, slightly open stance as the barrel rests low on the shoulder to start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride towards the pitcher while entering through a flat path into the hitting zone. Showed off efficient turns, driving the hands out with extension/leverage to the front of the plate. Produced big time juice to the LCF part of the field hitting into a low-postured, adjustable front side that blocks off properly. Worked down the sequence chain, delivering the barrel with intent and posting a T94 mph bat-exit velocity (via Trackman). Added a near 370 foot batted ball distance with obvious home run power on occasion.

Defensively: The primary first baseman approached at a wide, balanced base with adequate right-left footwork to the baseball. Fielded cleanly off the left side, funneling inward at the middle of his body and releasing from a low-intent H ¾ slot. Was able to move well laterally to his left and set up a few easy, advantageous hops during defense (T75 mph arm strength).

7/22/20

Physical: Large and physical 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame with strength throughout the build. 7.88 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the hands starting with rhythm above the shoulder. Utilized a lift and replace stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone with slight lift after contact. Showed quick hands and a barrel that exploded through contact allowing for present pull-side pop and ability to stay on the ball out over the plate. Demonstrated a gap to gap approach during batting practice and got on plane extremely early with the baseball yielding high level bat to ball skills in game action. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 91 mph according to Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The primary outfielder featured lengthy movements with adequate feel for his feet during defensive evaluations. Got behind the ball with regularity while throwing accurately out of a high ¾ slot with length in the arm circle. OF - 79 mph

Pitching: RHP - Quick pace in the delivery, lightning fast side rocker step into leg lift with slight opening of the front side on the drive towards the plate, falls off slightly to the first base side of the rubber, arm worked through a high ¾ slot with slight downhill plane. FB ranged from 76-78 T79 mph with a max of 1920 spin per Trackman Baseball. Mixed in a 65-67 mph CB with 11/5 shape as well.
