Physical: 5-foot-9, 210-pounds. Well built, solid frame.
Run: 8.33 runner in the 60.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open stance with feet just outside shoulder width, hands start up and back with a little waggle, Up and down leg kick getting back to even while the hands load slightly down and back Level bat path into and through the zone with a high 1 hand finish.
Power: 81 MPH raw exit velocity. Shows good barrel control with solid contact to all fields.
Defense:  pop times. balanced set up with little hop for timing, active foot work on approach fielding the ball deep.
Arm: mid arm swing but able to have quick release on some throws with 3/4 slot. INF - 74 MPH.

Pitching Delivery: Good pace, high leg lift, gets into back leg on stride out with some give on the front side during follow though.
Arm Action: Long, pulls back out of the glove to a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T75, 71-74 MPH. Commanded in zone with some tail.
CB: 60-62 MPH. 11-5 shape, consistent back door side.
CH: 68-71 MPH. Commanded in zone with some cut to it.

At the plate, Nelson stands in the box in a tall stance. Nelson will use a slight leg lift for timing and balance before attacking the hitting zone. Slight lift at the point of contact. Nelson stays balanced throughout the swing. Defensively, Nelson worked out at third. Nelson moves well laterally and gets in a low wide base when fielding the baseball. Nelson has above average funnel actions and throws from a mid 3/4 arm slot.
