2/17/20

2/17/20 Position Player Hit: Balanced setup in the box. Smooth and simple loading sequence with quiet hands. Slightly uphill bat path creating natural loft to all fields. Power: Line drive pop. Flashes occasional pull side power. Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling. Field: Average defender with playable footwork and average glove skills. Throw: Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a short arm action. 75 mph across the infield. Defensive Projection: 1B.

2/18/18
Right handed arm that throws from a ¾ slot. Average tempo delivery with a slight hitch. Fastball shows some arm side action sitting 71-75 mph. Throws an 11-5 breaking ball with gradual break at 65-66 mph. Changeup shows downward drop action with similar arm speed at 70-72 mph. Spotted his secondary offerings in the lower half well throughout the bullpen. At first base his glove was average and fielded it well during his outing. His footwork is developing in angles taken to the ball and quickness. Will come with age. Showed an average arm with a 71 mph throwing velocity. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup from the right side. Uses a double tap to create energy and timing with lower half. Barrel maintains fluidity through load and into launch. Swing is level with more present strength than speed to hands. Impressive pop for class when he stays through contact. Frame and strength make him a candidate to hit in the middle of the lineup. Could see power down the road as bat speed enhances with physical maturity.
