8/5/18 6-foot, 145-pound. Left-handed pitching prospect with a thin build. Delivery has a nice rhythm to it and requires minimal effort. Fastball worked out of a low three-quarter arm slot with regular cutting action at 74 78 mph. Paired the fastball with a 63 to 66 mph sweeping slider that works on a 3 to 7 plane.
7/17/18 Crafty lefty that uses a idea arm to sub slot. A strike thrower that looks comfortable with varying the unique slot. Fastball comes in at a tough angle for both righties and lefties. The pitch will show action to both sides of the plate at 74-77 mph. Spins a slurivsh breaking ball that glides across the plate at 60-62 mph.
6/26/18 6-foot, 145-pound left handed arm in the 2019 graduating class. Wiry southpaw with room still for physical maturity. Continues to show the ability to work from multiple arm slots and seems to be gaining confidence from the sidearm action. Shows the ability to command the strike zone from both slots. Fastball on this day ranged from 73-75 mph from the ¾ slot. While the sidearm slot sat 70-73 mph with movement Slider worked with more of a sweeping action at 59-62 mph. Backdoored this pitch to RHHs on multiple occasions throughout the outing.
5/29/18 An interesting southpaw in the 2019 class. Will use multiple arm angles with feel for both the over the top and sidearm slot. Very tough matchup for lefties. A strike thrower that will fill it up form either slot. Fastball was 74-77 mph with regular run and slight sink. Slider has big, gradual action across the palate at 58-62 mph. A legit bullpen option, especially if velo jumps.
1/16/17
5-foot-9, 145-pound projectable frame. The southpaw shows some quickness through a short arm action and ¾ slot. Uses a high lift. Slight pause in his transition from lift to stride. Collapses his back leg and creates some tilt and projects hips down the mound. Delivery requires regular effort. His fastball has cutting action to it at 73-75 mph. His 2/8 curveball has gradual break at 57-60 mph. Also, showed good feel for a straight change at 66-67 mph. In the outfield he gets to the ball in a timely fashion and confidently plays through the baseball. Uses a big crow hop prior to throwing to home plate. A lefty swinger that starts tall and uses a leg kick to get his lower half going. Hands stay simple. Creates energy with his lower half through weight transfer. Bat gets in and out of the zone quickly. Would be aided by getting more out of his upper half during his load. Ball came off his bat well when he was on time.
7/26/16 Still developing physically with a 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame. At the plate he uses a leg kick to get things going and keeps his hands loose during his stride forward. Has average batspeed at this stage. Produced line drives in batting practice and reached a top exit velocity of 75 mph. In the outfield he does a nice job playing through the ball and gets efficient use out of his crowhop. Threw to home plate with 73 mph arm strength. Ran a 7.7 60-yard dash. On the mound he is very efficient mechanically with short, quick arm action. A strike thrower. His fastball has natural run to it while sitting 69-73 mph. His breaking ball is sharp with more downward action than side to side.
1/18/16 5-foot-7, 125-pound thin, athletic build. Ran a 7.95 60-yard dash. A left-handed hitter that does a good job of gathering than transferring his weight through a double tap load. Is able to create good barrel whip through the zone with a level bat path. Exit velocity was 76 mph. From the outfield he used good footwork to approach the ball and was able to field the ball nicely, on his glove hand foot. Would like to see him quicken up his exchange. Throws showed decent carry from a high 3/4 arm slot with 73 mph arm strength. On the mound he had good tempo with a delivery that requires some effort. Showed good direction to home plate, landing open at foot strike. Showed good feel for his change up and curveball to compliment his 70-73 mph fastball.
